Platform for the implementation of a future inland navigation action programme

Digitalization workshop on the 23rd of November

Register for the workshop on Opportunities & requirements for the digitalisation of Inland Waterway Transport

Join us on our digital sailing trip along the European inland waterways during this afternoon workshop on digitalization. What are the needs and requirements towards the completion of IWT sector digitalisation in the next decade? Together we are about to discover!

During the session, we will focus on how digital transformation can support business activities and reporting formalities in the upcoming years. Furthermore, we will collect your valuable inputs regarding further requirements on synchromodality, ICT infrastructure, River Information Services and Smart Shipping, data sharing & integration, cybersecurity and compliance.

Expert community

We aim to bring together a broad range of expertise and professional insights from shippers, skippers, barge owners and operators, logistics service providers and representatives of ports and terminal operators. We would also be glad to welcome technology providers, authorities with interest in digital transformation, automation, data sharing in Inland Waterway Transport and representatives of related modalities in the logistics chains.

Practical information

The workshop is a joint initiative of the European projects Platina 3, Masterplan DIWA, RIS COMEX and DIONYSUS  and the sector organisations Pro Danube Management, EICB and the IWT Platform. It will take place using Microsoft Teams and the session will be professionally moderated. English is the working language, and during the breakout sessions it will also be possible to deliver input in French and German as well.

The results of the workshop will be used as input for future European policy development, ongoing and upcoming European projects and commercial action by end users.
